Fern Hollow Road Slide - Fern Hollow Road, Sewickley PA (December 2025 - Present)
We have only been to this job a few times so far, and from the looks of things, our part in this project may even be complete. It’s been a good run so far, with most of the work involving grout testing and soil nail anchors. We’re hoping there is a chance we will be back soon, although we also will not mind if they have us back when it’s warmer, that’s fine too.
Cast Iron Bridge, Brownsville - High Street, Brownsville PA (November 2024 - Present)
It’s the first cast iron bridge built in America, and we’ve been called in to help save it. So far, most of our job has been to test the concrete needed to rehabilitate this bridge. As you may know, concrete testing is not anything out of the ordinary for us, but it’s for an historic bridge that’s deserving of the repetition. We would have posted about it here sooner, but we didn’t have any cool pictures to go with the story until now.
Hampton Township Water Pollution Control Facility, Allison Park PA (2022 - Present)
Since December of 2022, our team has been hard at work testing concrete on this project. With many of the concrete placements exceeding 200 yards in material, it’s certainly been one of our larger water treatment jobs so far.
PA-43 - Pennsylvania Turnpike, Jefferson Hills PA (June 2024 - September 2025)
This project was probably one of our biggest turnpike jobs yet. With regular concrete placements varying from 50 to 2000 yards, it was very busy to say the least. We are now finished with our part of this job, and it is not clear when, or if we will be back on this particular section of the turnpike again soon. However, with a great deal of other work taking place on Route 43 and the surrounding area, it seems likely that there will be more work close by in the future.
